Yes, it's part of the Damara orogen's Matchless Amphibolite Belt. I still wonder where the name is coming from.

		<description>Finding it was easy - explaining what it has proved to be a tough case.

Location: -23.5898° S and 15.2959° E

It is Southwest of Windhoek and Southeast of Walvis Baai at the Nothern edge of the Namib desert. The area should be Neoproterozoic in age and now comes the tricky part...I didn't find a source so this is what I came up with.

a) it is a huge, dipping anticline 

b) it is actually relativly flat layers with a window that looks thru them.

The dark layers could be metamorphosed dark pelitic sediments, amphibole schists maybe? The region is known to host SEDEX type deposits in the metamorphosed rock.

This is the Damara orogen, no? Part of the more Matchless Belt?</description>
